Venues
We use a number of venues around Wales and Shropshire. All our accommodation venues are chosen specifically for our groups. They vary in size from 30 beds through to 100 beds. All our centres are available self catering or full board and we can put together activity packages around your chosen accommodation.
YHA Broadhaven
YHA Broadhaven is the ideal destination for school groups seeking a dynamic and educational outdoor experience.
Situated in the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, this hostel is a firm favourite as a base for exploring the stunning coastline and natural beauty of Wales. With comfortable and convenient accommodation, top-notch facilities, and a supportive and friendly team, YHA Broadhaven provides the perfect setting for school groups to get outside, get active and have loads of fun!
YHA Snowdon Ranger
Snowdon Ranger YHA near Llanberis, Wales, is in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
The hostel offers comfortable and practical accommodation for schools looking to leave behind the Urban environment and explore beautiful natural surroundings. With easy access to both local amenities and a wide range of activities including Climbing, Gorge Walking, Canoeing, Bushcraft, Mountain Walking, Archery, and Paddleboarding.
YHA Brecon
Set in 15 acres of ancient National Park woodland overlooking the River Tarell, this 19th Century farmhouse is perfectly situated to cultivate that sense of discovery and adventure.
A fantastic location for its easy access to the scenic beauty of the surrounding areas, YHA Brecon is equipped with several communal spaces, including a lounge, a dining area, and a self-catering kitchen. This makes it an ideal setting for students to socialize, learn and bond as a group.
YHA Bryn Gwynant
A stunning Victorian mansion house set above Llyn Gwynant at the foot of Snowdon. With over 40 acres of woodland grounds to explore, this 72 bed centre is the ultimate venue for adventure.
As well as enjoying outdoor activities with Safe and Sound Outdoors as part of an adventure packed stay , YHA Bryn Gwynant is a great base for educational visits, with several nearby attractions and sites of historical significance. An ideal choice for students on school trips looking for an outdoor adventure in a stunning natural setting.
YHA Trafford Old Hall
YHA (Youth Hostel Association) Trafford Old Hall is a hostel located in the historic town of Altrincham, near Manchester, England. This is our most local YHA and as such is perfectly located for our best activity locations.
Chester YHA has its own large grounds, making it a suitable place for students to participate in team building activities as well as some of our mobile activities including Bushcraft and Archery.
YHA Ironbridge
A charming youth hostel located in the heart of Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site. In addition to the historical and educational opportunities that the Ironbridge Gorge area offers, YHA Ironbridge is also a great base for outdoor adventure. Located in the heart of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and providing access to a wide range of outdoor activities for your school group, students can discover hidden valleys, panoramic views, and an abundance of wildlife on the hostel doorstep..
Llangollen Hand Hotel
Sat on the bank of the River Dee in the stunning vale of Llangollen, the Hand Hotel is our 'Go-To' for large groups of Key Stage 4 students. With 58 en-suite rooms, catering for up to 100 students, this historic coaching inn is set in an excellent location to explore all that North East Wales has to offer.
The Hand offers comfortable rooms and a convenient location in the centre of Llangollen, and being just a few doors away from Safe and Sound Outdoors is easy for groups to access our riverside activity centre.
